Hi Neighbors,
My name is Brian Caller, and I'm running for Place 1 on the Lago Vista ISD Board of Trustees. I'm an Austin native who has spent most of my time on the Northshore of Lake Travis. I have always had an interest in helping grow and improve the place our kids learn, and I think now is the perfect time to help contribute.
About Me
I’m currently the Vice President of Finance (Americas) for the Process Systems business unit at Emerson. With over 25 years of experience in finance, strategy, and people development, I’ve worked in some pretty big organizations, always with a focus on financial excellence, strategy creation/execution, and people development, as well as making sure things run smoothly. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin—Hook ‘Em! I’ve also served as Treasurer on two non-profit boards and spent a couple of years on a Financial Leadership Committee for Leader Independent School District.
On a more personal note, I’m a native Austinite, born and raised around Leander and Jonestown. I graduated from Leander High School back when it was still a small 4A school, a lot like Lago. My wife and I made the move to Lago Vista about five years ago after living in the Leander area. We have two kids, both at Lago Vista High School. They keep us busy with Track, Viking Sports Network, DECA, UIL academics, PALS, and a ton of other activities!

As a parent and someone deeply invested in our community, I know how crucial a solid education is for our kids’ futures. My background in Corporate Finance gives me a problem-solving mindset, and I love collaborating to find solutions. I’m passionate about ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. My decisions will always prioritize what’s best for our students. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our kids.

Below are a few ways I am already supporting LVISD students and programs through hands-on volunteer efforts.
ï‚· Judge at the district DECA competition for the past two years and helping provide
feedback for future growth.
ï‚· Play-by-play announcer for the Lago Vista varsity home football game live streams that are produced by Viking Sports Network (student led-production)
ï‚· Contributed to building and donating a broadcasting desk for the Viking Sports Network,
empowering students in this student-led production initiative.
