VISION
Strong schools aren’t built by one person or one group — they thrive when what is working is celebrated and built upon with respect, trust, and high expectations. As Vikings, our Ætt family means supporting one another, putting students first in every decision, and rowing together toward shared success. The board’s role is to listen, lead with integrity, and ensure every choice supports students, teachers, and the broader Viking family. Together — as one Viking family — we can keep Lago Vista ISD strong today and for the future, giving every student the opportunity to succeed.
“We All Row. We Are One Ætt. We Are Vikings.”
Key Areas
Supporting Teachers and Staff
Our educators are at the heart of our schools’ success. They need the right tools, support, and fair compensation to do their best work. We need to be committed to fostering professional development and creating a positive, collaborative environment for all staff.

Teacher Retention
Two key focus areas for teacher retention should be: competitive salaries and culture. Competitive salaries are key to attract/retain highly qualified teachers and help with job satisfaction. In addition, a culture of support and empowerment aligned with competitive salaries will drive continuity which will ultimately improve the quality of education.
Academic and Extracurricular Success for All Students
Every student deserves access to a challenging curriculum that prepares them for life—whether that’s college, a career, or everyday problem-solving. We need to push for programs that focus on critical thinking, creativity, and readiness for a changing world. Plus, I’m all for extracurriculars—they play a huge role in shaping well-rounded students and offer benefits that go beyond the classroom. We need to have an holistic approach that encompasses all aspects of student development from individualized instruction to parental/community engagement to a teamwork approach. It is important to adopt the right strategy based on each schools needs by collaborating with students, teachers, parents, administrators and the broader community
Parent and Community Engagement
Strong partnerships between parents, educators, and the community are key to our students’ success. We should make sure that parents' voices are heard and their input is valued in decisions that affect our kids’ education. Our community should have a say in the policies that shape the future of our schools.

Safety and Well-Being
Every student deserves to learn in a physically safe environment. By maintaining secure campuses, clear safety procedures, and proactive emergency planning, we help ensure students and staff can focus on learning and growth. Safety is a shared responsibility — together, as one Viking family, we can protect our students and create a space where everyone can thrive.

COMMITMENTS
01
Celebrating and Enhancing Our Viking Culture:
Lago Vista already has a proud Viking culture — one that draws families and teachers here. Strengthening that culture ensures our Ætt (family) remains united. When the board, teachers, administrators, families, and community row together, students thrive.
02
Preparing Students for Life
Success looks different for every student. Some will pursue college, others will enter a trade, join the military, or start a business. Maintaining high academic standards, expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE), and offering diverse extracurricular opportunities prepares every Viking for life after graduation.
03
Collaboration Built on Trust
The best results happen when the board, educators, parents, and the community are aligned. Open communication, trust, and teamwork are essential to keeping students at the center of
decision-making.
04
Responsible, Student-Focused Leadership
The school board sets direction and ensures accountability. The focus must remain on student outcomes, fiscal responsibility, and policies that empower educators to succeed.
